Ingredients
  

For the Stir Fry
  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak thinly sliced
  • 4 cups green cabbage shredded
  • 1 medium onion sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
For the Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
Seasonings
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
Optional Garnish
  • sliced green onions or sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions
  1. Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and cornstarch until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Heat the Skillet: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Cook the Beef: Add the thinly sliced beef and stir-fry for about 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. Sauté the Onions: In the same skillet, add the remaining vegetable oil, add sliced onion and sauté for 1 minute.
  5. Add Aromatics: Add minced garlic and grated ginger, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Stir-Fry the Cabbage: Add shredded cabbage and stir-fry for about 2–3 minutes or until slightly wilted.
  7. Combine Beef and Sauce: Return cooked beef to the pan with cabbage, add sauce mixture and stir together.
  8. Season to Taste: Sprinkle with salt and black pepper, stirring to combine. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  9. Garnish and Serve: Transfer to a serving plate and garnish with sliced green onions or sesame seeds if desired.
