Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare two baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, ½ cup of butter, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and ¼ teaspoon salt. Heat until the butter melts and the mixture simmers.
  3. Whisk in 1 cup of all-purpose flour into the saucepan, stirring quickly to avoid lumps. Mix over low heat until the dough forms a ball.
  4. Transfer the dough to a bowl and let it cool. Whisk together 3 eggs and gradually add to the dough, mixing until smooth.
  5. Fill a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle with the dough and pipe onto baking sheets, ensuring 2 inches between each piece.
  6. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes until golden-brown. Turn off the oven and let the churros rest inside for 10 minutes.
  7. Combine ¼ cup of sugar, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and ¼ teaspoon of salt in a bag. Mix well.
  8. Toss the warm churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
