Step-by-Step Instructions

  2. Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged leaves. Slice each sprout in half lengthwise.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if desired).
  4. Spread the Brussels sprouts out in a single layer on a baking sheet, cut side down.
  5. Roast the Brussels sprouts for 25–30 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  6. Remove from the oven and drizzle with balsamic vinegar if desired.
  7. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes before serving.
