Step-by-Step Instructions for Crispy Mozzarella Sticks
- Begin by slicing your mozzarella sticks in half and placing them in the freezer for about 15 minutes.
- While the cheese chills, prepare your dredging station. Set out three bowls: in the first, mix flour with garlic and onion powders; in the second, beat the eggs; and in the third, combine the breadcrumbs.
- Take each chilled mozzarella stick and dip it into the flour mixture, then the beaten eggs, and finally roll it in the breadcrumb mixture.
- For extra crunch, repeat the dipping process by dipping each stick back into the egg and then the breadcrumbs again.
- In a deep frying pan, heat enough oil to cover about two inches and check the temperature; it should reach approximately 350°F.
- Carefully place the breaded mozzarella sticks into the hot oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden-brown.
- Using a slotted spoon, remove the sticks from the oil and let them drain on paper towels. Season with salt and pepper while still hot.

Notes
Chilling the cheese sticks is essential to ensure they maintain their shape while frying. Double-dipping the sticks enhances the crunchiness and texture.
