  • 1 tablespoon Plain flour
  • ½ cup White sugar Can substitute with brown sugar

  • ½ teaspoon Ground cinnamon
For the Crumble Topping
  • 1 cup Rolled oats Quick cooking oats can also be used
  • 1 cup Plain flour
  • 1 cup Brown sugar Loosely packed
  • ½ teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
  • 125 g Unsalted butter Melted
  • 1 pinch Salt
For Serving
  • 1 scoop Vanilla ice cream To serve alongside

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Peel and cube the Granny Smith apples, then mix with flour, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice, and spread in the baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, melted butter, and salt until it resembles clumps of wet sand.
  4. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apple filling in the baking dish.
  5. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
  6. Let the crumble rest for 10 minutes under foil before serving.
  7. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
