  • ½ cup dark chocolate melts outlines the football shape beautifully
  • green icing optional, to make your platter look like a football field

  • medium saucepan
  • Piping bag
  • Whisk
  • Mixing bowls
  • sharp knife or cookie cutter
  • microwave-safe bowls

Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8-inch baking pan by greasing or lining it.
  2. Melt ½ cup of unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over low heat, then stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar and ½ cup of brown sugar until combined. Let cool slightly.
  3. Add 2 large eggs one at a time, stirring in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whisk ½ cup of all-purpose flour, ⅓ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, and ¼ teaspoon of salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring until combined. Optionally, fold in ½ cup of chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. Allow the brownies to cool for about 10 minutes before cutting into football shapes.
  7. Melt ½ cup each of white and dark chocolate melts according to package instructions.
  8. Pipe dark chocolate around the edges to create a football outline and white chocolate on top to mimic laces.
  9. Arrange the decorated brownies on a platter, optionally piping green icing around them to represent grass.
