Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Roll the meat mixture into 1½-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  3. Bake the meatballs for about 15-18 minutes until cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 160°F.
  4. Pour bourbon BBQ sauce into a skillet over low heat and warm gently.
  5. Once the meatballs are baked, transfer them to the skillet and toss until fully coated. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Slice open the rolls and place 4-5 meatballs in each roll. Top with cheese and bacon.
  7. Arrange subs on a baking sheet and broil for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts.
